About.
At MILK
We have created a safe and welcoming place where women can come together, meet new friends, share ideas and learn from each other. Everyone who has been involved in the project has changed it in some small way, whether it’s helping us prepare food, nurturing the plants or giving their time and expertise to us. We offer continuing friendship to the community around us at it continues to grow, and support to the women we meet who are trying to build a life in their new home.
MILK offers a variety of free classes and workshops that are open to all women in our community (and sometimes, where appropriate, men and children too). We also offer the space to other groups and individuals who share our values, and we are always delighted to work with new partners on new and exciting ideas.
After 7 years of cafe trading we are now a full time community space.
